Mercy Joseph Ekanem is a highly accomplished and seasoned professional nurse with extensive experience in both nursing education and practice. As the College Provost, she is a visionary leader known for her integrity and proven track record of excellence.

Mercy holds a diverse range of qualifications, including a Bachelor of Nursing Science (BNSc), a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE), and a Master of Science in Nursing (MSc). She is currently pursuing a PhD in Nursing to further advance her expertise. Her foundational qualifications include RM, RN and RNE. She is also a Fellow of the African Institute of Public Health (FAIPH).
